T he Lilacs are trying to bloom at Eddy’s Motel in Butte, Montana. Last year it was early July before they were fully aromatic. After a fairly mild winter, we are still experience some spring snow and cold weather. The perennials in the garden are popping through and we’ll soon have glorious colors surrounding us. We looking forward to our summer array of guests, and the Yellowstone travelers have already begun to make their stops in Butte, Montana. The new Motorcycling Montana book and monthly newspapers are out, and we want to remind bikers that Eddy’s Motel is biker friendly, as well as dog friendly. E ddy’s Motel enjoyed a wonderful summer, with a fine array of guests. In September our friends the Royall’s from Virginia came back for a week. Eddy’s has become their annual stopping place as they travel the northwest and spend time in Butte, MT. We had the Spooner from England spend several days with us and were happy to hear from them when they arrived home safely. There have been many others who’ve stayed for a night or two who we’ve enjoyed wonderful conversations with. We are back in the season of long term rentals and the feeling of “family” is often felt. Our new roofs are in progress, which enhance the place quite a bit. Shadow has remodelled a couple rooms, which are very nice. Wildflower continues with decorating indoor and out....

Winter has stayed on long at Eddy’s Motel in Butte, Montana and even today we had some flurries. I was able to plant some perennials last week, and the pansies have survived the winter winds and chill this late May. We are awaiting the beautiful lilac blooms and hoping for a colorful summer at Eddy’s Motel. We will be adding some benches for outdoor seating so you may enjoy the sunsets, gaze up at Our Lady of the Rockies or look at the lights of Uptown Butte. H i, this is Wildflower and I am the Motel Manager at Eddy’s Motel. I will be sharing current stories and exciting news from Eddy’s Motel in Butte, Montana frequently. A woman called last week and spoke to Shadow. She wanted to know what kind of mattresses we had. She said her husband had stayed her a year and a half ago and had the most restful sleep he’d ever had,raved about the mattress and has complained ever since that he can’t get a good nights sleep. He suffers from a variety of aches and pains and found our mattress took them away. He continually talked about it, so she finally called, ready to go out and buy a new mattress. S t. Patrick’s Day has come and gone, and we’re gearing up for the Montana Open Wrestling Tournament this weekend which will be at the Butte Civic Center. We always enjoy having young people stay at Eddy’s who’s enthusiasm for their events is obvious. We had a few spring like days, however woke up to 10 degrees yesterday….while much of the country bursts with daffodils, Montana’s winter hangs on. Indoors I’ve started my flower seedlings which will enjoy several weeks of indoor growth before the outdoor ground will be ready for them. Our British fisherman, will be here next week for 10 days.
